“The Program” was founded in October of 2015 by Tramain Rayford. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to a single mother who endured hardships in the upbringing of her 3 boys. He learned early on in life just how important the presence of a father is in a home. In his father’s absence, Tramain and his brothers were raised by their grandfather Daniel Day, II and another father figure, Dwayne Gibson, Sr. Through their perpetual love and support, these two men denoted exactly what it means to be a great father.
After becoming a father himself, Tramain recognized a prevalent issue within his community. Many boys were being raised by single mothers, with no father figure within the home; consequently, growing up not learning the essentials of manhood. This led him to form an organization that he would later name “The Program”.
